Tee and Tango: From the Paris of South America, to its
sleepy sister nation |
 |
Imagine
sipping on an evening cocktail, eastern breezes blowing over
the pampas and down across the urban swelter of Buenos
Aires. Imagine gazing out at the Rio de la Plata, across to
the horizon and Uruguay, reflecting on the shots well-struck
that day, from either the tee or from horseback, and
contemplating the dance steps learned, trying to commit them
to memory. This is a venture for the adventurous, a trip to
be taken with the special person in your life.
We arrive from an overnight long-haul to tour the trading
post-cum-megacity of Buenos Aires, flavoured with vestiges
of European culture but distinctly Latin at its roots, and
refresh in Four Seasons comfort. Golf (Buenos Aires Club)
and tango lessons are paired on day two, golf (Alistair
Mackenzie’s Jockey Club) and an afternoon polo exhibition on
the third. From there, it’s across the Rio by private
charter to Uruguay, the Four Seasons Carmelo, and a
traditional menu of culinary experiences sure to refocus
perceptions of Latin American cuisine.
If you’re a glutton for more, we can arrange additional
transfers to prolong the Latin American sojourn. If it’s
your wife who wants to tango, of course we’ll do the same. |
