Playing and seeing the game
We know it’s a long way to go. If you’re making the trek to South Africa, rest assured: we play all the best courses in the country. How about starting with two rounds at Pinnacle Point? Designed by Peter Matkovich, this course is considered Mecca to the most discerning of golfers. We play the links at Fancourt, home of the 2003 President’s Cup. We make a stop outside Knysna to stay and play at Pezula. On then to Humewood, the most acclaimed links course in the country, followed by Durban which resides in the top 100. Here, we take a turn not once, but twice.

Growing understandably weary, you might need some downtime among the Big Five – imagine that. We fly into Kruger Park and check into Mala Mala, consistently ranked as one of the best small hotels in the world. From your room with a view, you can safely track lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo. Or you can join a safari and see them up close. Golfers have the option to fly on to Malelane for one more round at Leopard Creek..
