With
the release of the VIP 1025M forged Muscleback irons, MacGregor has
made a triumphant return to its roots as the premier designer and
manufacturer of the bladed irons that vaulted them to prominence in
the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. A
modernized version of their wildly successful 1967 VIP forged blade,
the new V-Foil is sure to be a triumphant success and promises to
reaffirm the companies status for years to come.
MacGregor’s
patent pending V-Foil technology has created a design which directs
49% more mass behind the ball, creating a low center of gravity that
encourages and supports lift, power and forgiveness:
in short, everything the
advanced golfer looks for in a forged iron.
Currently employed
by reigning Buick Invitational champion Jose Maria Olazabal and two
time U.S. Open champ Lee Janzen, the VIP forged irons have quickly
earned a reputation for quality and control among professionals and
low handicappers everywhere.
MacGregor CEO Barry
Schneider makes no bones about his excitement over and confidence in
this new line of irons, describing the new line as
“the best clubs in the world.”
